Kiln design and build E-Book

    BACKYARD KILNS is a fully illustrated CD on Kiln Building, written in Adobe Acrobat, a format that allows this CD to be accessed by any Computer system provided it has a copy of Acrobat Reader loaded.

      Acrobat Reader is a free utility available to download from the Adobe Website, and often to be found on the free CDs handed out by Computer Magazines.

      My focus with this project has always been the Potter like myself who likes to plough his or her own furrow, and who, although welcoming help from friends with firings, prefers not to have to rely on a team in order to get their work finished.

      This E-Book contains many photographs and drawings, almost all of which can be enlarged by the click of a mouse, making them very easy to examine closely.

      Initially there is just the one design, which is a development of the Brick Kiln to be found on the Firing Courses Page on this Website. This has been thoroughly tested in several locations, and has proved very efficient indeed, reaching very high temperatures, and capable of being fired both quickly and very slowly, and leaving a virtually ash-free firebox at the end!

        Already I am working on other chapters on other Kilns to add to it in due course, so the purchaser has the option to leave their contact details with me to purchase upgrades at a reduced price if they wish as and when they become available.

       The cost of this CD is £14.00 Sterling which does not include Postage.

       Obviously I can't quote the price in other currencies as the money market never stays in the same place for very long, but I think it represents pretty good value.

       But then of course I'm a bit biased!
